When these clients contacted us they already owned a plot 'to die for' overlooking Loch Fyne. They contacted us via our website and we sent our brochure. Following an initial discussion to establish what we could do for them, our consultant for the West of Scotland arranged a meeting at the site for a Feasibility Study.

The brief was to create a building that would blend sympathetically with the local architecture, provide the clients with a comfortable, energy efficient home for the foreseeable future and that would take maximum advantage of the breathtaking views over the loch.

The couple are also keen on sailing and aquatic sports and wanted an annexe attached to house their boat.

An essential part of the brief was a portfolio of magazine cuttings and photographs of design features they had collected over a period of time. Our Head of Design, Beverley Pemberton prepared the first draft of the design, which was then fine-tuned to meet their exact wishes.

Finally we costed the design to ensure the proposal was still within the original target budget set by the clients. We were then ready to prepare an application to the local Council for planning approval.
